Michelle Heselden - Counsellor
Welcome

My Approach

I qualified in 2007 as an Integrative Counsellor. This allows me to work with each client using a style that suits their individual uniqueness, personality, history, culture and needs.
My approach focuses on the belief that Counselling and Psychotherapy is a process which places emphasis upon developing a trusting therapeutic relationship between Counsellor and Client. This can then provide a secure base from which to explore issues and difficulties. As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I work by a code of ethics and framework which helps to keep both client and counsellor safe.
In my private practice I offer one to one hourly short or long-term counselling with adults and work with a variety of issues with clients. After an initial meeting if you are happy to go ahead with the sessions we will make an agreed contract. If for any reason we feel we are not able to work with each other, I will do my best to help you find suitable support if you so wish.
